Shenandoah shows summary

This blog is a display for my projects. I make models of carnival rides out of knex and pipe cleaners and a few other items. They rack (tear down) like the real rides. If you are viewing this site for the first time let me give you a tour. Below are posts. If your new you might of missed some, so scroll threw and back to see other projects. To the right, is a tab that says pages. Click that and it will take you to a list of pages, including carnival terminology, and youtube, as well as a few others. Enjoy and comment. P.S. if you comment, don't ask me for, or leave any personal info. I ask that you address me as Shenandoah shows, or idog0698. Thank you.

wisdom ferris wheel

I realize this article is late, and I am sorry for that, but better late then never right? Today I will be showing another ferris wheel. I don't know the model, I just know its a twelve seat wisdom wheel. Well mine is eight seat, but anyways. As usual here are the steps on how it tears down.
Step 1 the 2 tower lights, and then the 4 star lights are turned on. (pics 1-2)
Step 2 the seats are folded in (pics 3-4) This step is repeated 8 times.
Step 3 the seats are removed, and racked on the front of the trailer.(pics 5-7) This step is repeated 8 times.
Step 4 2 wires hold the front sweep in place. (pic 8)
step 5 2 of the outer ring spacers are removed and put on the rack. (pic 9)
Step 6 2 of the star pieces are removed and put on the rack. (pics 10-11)
Step 7 the crane is connected, and another 2 spacers are removed. (pics 12-13)
Step 8 the sweep is disconnected and the crane folds the sweep in.(pics 14- 15)
Step 9, the crane is repositioned, and steps 7-9 are repeated until the wheel is completely folded.(pics 16-21)
Step 10 the crane is racked.(pic22)
Step 11 the sign is raised up. (pic23)
Step 12 the sweep blocker is attached.(pic24)
Step 13 the wind braces and feet are folded in.(pics25-26)

Rock-O-Plane

The Rock-O-Plane is an interesting ride. The seats are loose, so they spin in circles. Its shaped like a star, and is one of the most accurate rides I have, as it only has 8 sweeps. Here's how it tears down.
Step one, Lights are on and truck is hooked up for power.(pics1-2)
Step two, The seats are removed and racked on 2 sides of the trailer.(pics3-5)
Step three, The main brace is removed, and the main boom lowers down.(pics6-8)
Step four, a section is folded in, and the lights are cut off for folding.(pics9-10)
Step five, the sweeps are folded, and the middle light is lowered backwards.(pics11-14)
Step six, the lights are turned back on.(pic15)
Step seven, the two seat racks are lifted.(pics16-17)
Step eight, the braces are lifted and folded in.(18-19)
Pics 20-21 the ride is done. 21 the back of ride racked. Pic 22 is the real ride!

New rides at shenandoah shows!

I have been working, and I want to introduce 3 new rides. The newly redesigned mini scrambler(pic1), the not so new, but new to this website Rok N Rol (pic2), and the all new, never before built YoYo (pic3) More on the Rok N Rol and the YoYo will be introduced when I do an article on them. The mini scrambler still tears down the same. Check back on Sunday for the article on the Rock-O-Plane.

Step three, the seats are removed and the cables are folded in.(pics4-6)
Step four, the feather lights are folded down.(pics7-8)
Step five the folding rack is attached.(pic9)
Step six, the spacers fold in, and the sweeps are disconnected and fold together.(pics10-12)
Step seven, the s w i n g e r sign is taken off and racked at the front of the trailer.(pic13)
