Shenandoah shows summary

This blog is a display for my projects. I make models of carnival rides out of knex and pipe cleaners and a few other items. They rack (tear down) like the real rides. If you are viewing this site for the first time let me give you a tour. Below are posts. If your new you might of missed some, so scroll threw and back to see other projects. To the right, is a tab that says pages. Click that and it will take you to a list of pages, including carnival terminology, and youtube, as well as a few others. Enjoy and comment. P.S. if you comment, don't ask me for, or leave any personal info. I ask that you address me as Shenandoah shows, or idog0698. Thank you.

Latest and last updates.

For 1 I have a new video out of the scrambler being torn down. Click the pages tab and then click videos to go to you tube. So this shall be 1 of my last updates posts of the season. As I mentioned before I re did the cluster lights on the scrambler. Well this is how I did it.
1st I removed the old paper ones. Then I built the knex frames. The pic you see is the ride with the new outer cluster lights after being painted. This is before the decor went into them, To the left you will see new paper cut outs.
These are the frames for the X pannels, or I call them that because they have an x on them, and the top cluster lights. I took the paper cutouts and glued them to the knex to make them solid. I also used pipe cleaners and 3 small knex to decorate the outer cluster lights.

Everything's on but the top cluster lights. I show This because for a wile the scrambler its based on didn't have top cluster lights.

 Everything's attached.
An up close of the outer lights.
The X pannels and the upper cluster lights.
The x panels are now connected, making them flush.

and they stay connected when it folds.
The back of the X panels and cluster ;oghts.
 Folded.
 And lowered.
 LIGHTS YAY!

racked.

The real scrambler.
This is what I meant by it didn't have the top cluster lights. They just hadn't been put back on.

Racked.

Also I Painted the wayout swings base.

And I Rebuilt the chair swings to have 16 sweeps instead of just 8.
Showing all the sweeps,

 Racked.
 With lights.
I also built the tubs of fun. Its racked there, but Ill post a pic later. I recently re did the decking on the silver streak, painted my round up, and I plan to paint the wayout swings again. So keep a look out for that. Just because the season coming to an end doesn't mean Im done.
